“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” — Joseph Campbell
There’s a moment, maybe you’ve felt it, where something inside you shifts.
You let go of a pattern, a role, a way of relating that no longer fits.
You stop overextending.
You stop shrinking.
You stop chasing clarity in all the old ways.
But instead of relief… there’s just space.
No breakthrough. No new beginning. Just the in-between.
This is liminal space.
Where you’re no longer who you were, but not quite who you’re becoming.
And being here? It can feel:
- Heavy with silence
- Awkwardly unfamiliar
- Full of doubt you thought you’d already worked through
It’s easy to think something’s wrong.
But this space is not a setback.
It’s part of the process.
Three Things to Remember If You’re Here
1. You’ve already done something brave.
You ended a pattern that was out of alignment. That’s big.
This space means something is complete even if you’re still processing it.
2. Contraction comes before expansion.
That tight, foggy feeling? It’s part of how you stabilize.
You’re integrating what you’ve let go of before stepping into something new.
3. You’re not alone even when it feels like it.
Many people experience distance, silence, or loss during this phase.
But you’re not being punished. You’re being realigned.
🌱 Try This
Take a quiet moment to journal, walk, or meditate and ask:
- What part of me is adjusting to a new way of being?
- What am I no longer willing to carry, even if it’s uncomfortable to release?
- What’s something small I can say yes to that aligns with where I’m headed?
Let whatever comes up be enough.
You don’t need to have it all figured out.
Liminal space isn’t about rushing into a new version of your life.
It’s about becoming someone who doesn’t need to rush to be worthy.
This space won’t last forever.
But it will change you in ways that last.
Not because you forced it.
But because you allowed it.
